Specifically, it was acknowledged in the business category, at a ceremony held on 21 April, coinciding with Logistics Day.

These awards are the most prestigious and important Spanish awards in the field of logistics, honouring those companies that have the greatest achievements in supply chain management and that use logistics to generate value.

The person responsible for collecting the award was Carbotainer's Industrial Director, who received it from José Carlos Varela, vice-president of the Spanish Logistics Centre. Carbotainer shared the finalist ranking with the company Palibex, which presented a project to resolve transport challenges for palletised goods. The company who won the category was Desigual. The awards also have other categories, including Hospital Logistics, Sustainable Logistics, University and the CEL Award for the Logistics Director of the Year.

The achievements that justify a candidature for the CEL Business Awards are: the integration or redesign of a logistics function, the innovative use of technology, the introduction of a new transport or storage system that has revolutionised the logistics function or an improvement in manufacturing logistics, or better use of the information or communication flow in the supply chain.
